Greensboro, NC - A resident helped put out a fire in his own kitchen this Tuesday afternoon and escaped without injury.
Greensboro firefighters were called to 2606 Textile Drive at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday. Fire officials said the accidental blaze started in the kitchen while the resident was cooking.
Firefighters reported seeing light smoke when they arrived at the scene, but the resident used a fire extinguisher to control the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials estimated damage to the one-story home at about $10,000. |
